Hyundai Motor Company and the Whitney Museum of American Art are embarking on a groundbreaking 10-year partnership that promises to redefine artistic creativity and innovation. This collaboration will see Hyundai Motor supporting the Whitney Museum’s annual art commission on its spacious fifth-floor terrace and playing a key role in the Whitney Biennial, a signature event in the world of contemporary art.

The partnership introduces the Hyundai Terrace Commission, a novel outdoor exhibition space envisioned by the renowned architect Renzo Piano, who designed the Whitney Museum’s building in the vibrant Meatpacking District of New York City. Dubbed the ‘Test Platform,’ this outdoor gallery is the museum’s largest and offers a flexible, dynamic environment for artists to create large-scale and monumental works.
